Air in the heater core is often the cause of gurgling under the dash. Air can be “burped” out but if you aren’t careful you can get scalded. RemcoW October 18, 2012, 10:31pm 3. +1 with Rod. Not sure whether a Camry has it, but some cars have bleeder valves on top of the engine that let you bleed the air as you add some coolant.

I opened the hood and the radiator cap is hissing and the coolant is gurgling in the overflow container (which is low). I'm pretty sure my radiator cap is deteriorated and needs to be replaced
It helps to squeeze a radiator hose a little to keep the fluid from wanting to over flow during this. 11) Top off the coolant overflow bottle to the max line using the coolant left in the funnel. 12) Over the next few drives monitor the coolant overflow bottle to make sure it stays at least 1/2 way to the MAX fill mark when cold. n8FpI.
